The Card Counter

I  did not like this. Not only because the trailer makes us think it's about playing poker and is instead about torture, but also because the ending left us with a lose-lose-lose-lose.

I like Tiffany Haddish and who doesn’t love Oscar Issac but, goodness, they have zero chemistry. Their faux intimacy was pure cringe.

Oscar Issac can carry any movie, he radiates star power. But I’m left thinking that nearly any actor who can portray a flat, emotionless personality could have carried this movie.  They should have cast someone who has better chemistry with Tiffany Haddish.

What is the point of this film? I’ll spare you the watching of this movie and tell you that torture also ruins the torturer.
