Hoppers

So good! This is laugh-out-loud funny. It takes various things (like the life-life robots that infiltrate animal communities, and the fact that beavers enable healthy environments for many animals) and wraps them into a hilarious story. There are some uproariously amusing moments and lines that actually made me howl with laughter.

The story is about a young woman who cares about nature and who, with the help of animals, pushes against a freeway project that would decimate the glade that she enjoyed with her grandmother.

It’s not overly moralistic, but it does touch on the importance of environmental preservation.

Beyond how humorous this is, it also has a unique visual style, excellent cameos, and a good closing credits song written and sung by SZA.

Thumbs up all the way around. This is a must see.
