Justified: City Primeval

Celebrity crush on Timothy Oliphant notwithstanding, I didn’t enjoy this. It has none of what made the original Justified series great.

The bad guy has no redeeming qualities, there are no regional accents, the music is terrible. and there’s honestly not enough screen time for the handsome star.

Further, the creators of this thought it was a good idea to introduce a very annoying character to play the marshal's daughter. The character is absolutely insufferable and their interactions are super cringe. She plays a key role in the first few episodes and I almost stopped watching because of it.

While our favorite marshal is still a lady-magnet and continues to take down dirty cops and shoot bad guys, this series, which is set in Detroit, is not recommended.

The last few minutes of the final episode, which revisits a pivotal character from the original Justified series are the most exciting of this 8 episode epilogue.
