Underwater

Meh. If you go into this not expecting much, it’s not so bad. The cast is completely forgettable, except for Kristen Stewart who does a reasonable job with a mediocre script.

There is tension from beginning to end, but there are certain things the viewer is asked to believe that seem unrealistic. Like, why the heck would a drilling company need to go to the bottom of the Mariana Trench when there are plenty of easier-to-reach ocean floors readily available? And, could creatures that live 7 miles underwater actually grow that large considering the pressure at that depth?

If they would have set the story in the future and made the tech less grungy, it would have been a more believable tale.

The relationships between the people are the only saving grace for this mediocre movie.
