The Creator

This shoot ‘em up movie turns the tables on assumptions made about AI.

In this movie, the AIs are the good guys who just want to live in harmony and peace with humanity, while the Americans go to great lengths (on other people’s land) to try to eradicate the smart machines from the face of the Earth.

The casting of this is excellent, and is, at it’s core, a movie about love.

‍

I don’t think it’s an accident that this movie is set in a country that could easily be Vietnam. The blatant disregard of the native population and the arrogant entitlement of the American soldiers is galling. By the end of the movie, we are rooting for the AI.
