The Brothers Sun

I loved this! The opening credits are fabulous. The casting is excellent. The story and the way the story is told are all great. It’s serious, funny, thrilling, and emotional in turns. The kung-fu scenes are top-notch.

Michelle Yeoh holds the series down so I assumed she’d be having lots of fight scenes. She doesn’t. They make the viewer wait for it.

Her fight scene is in the final episode and, man, is it worth waiting for! My heart was pounding by the end of it. Whew.

It’s unfortunate that Netflix canceled the series after the first season, but they closed it in a way that, if it were picked up later by someone else, it could be done well.

I enjoyed this a lot, and recommend it if you like kung fu.
