How to Get to Heaven from Belfast

After the first couple of episodes I considered not watching this any further. Nothing made sense, the bad guys seemed over the top, some of the characters seemed overly stupid. But I pressed on and I'm glad I did. This is brilliant!

What seems like a buddy movie turns into a complicated murder mystery where the bad guys are actually good and the ones seeking the truth are the liars. The writing is excellent.

The diverse casting is great too. There are so many excellent actors in this including a bunch of from Derry Girls (including Sinéad Keenan, Bronagh Gallagher, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Emmett J. Scanlan, and Ardal O’Hanlon) which is because the writer of both series is Lisa McGee. (There is a clever scene in this where Saoirse-Monica Jackson is having a conversation in front of a 3-story mural of the characters of Derry Girls; so basically she has a scene in front of a giant painting of herself. LOL!)

This is funny and a genuine mystery. I loved the Irish accents, music, landmarks, and bits of Irish culture.
